No two weeks are the same as each new workshop offers a different creative experience and encourages you to step out of the mundane and explore your potential. Each simple, hands-on project becomes an escape from the daily stresses of life and reminds you how beauty can be found in even the most simplest of projects.

Guests are invited to bring their lunch, or grab a bite to eat from Blooming Bean Coffee Roasters, located in our West Gallery.

To ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity to enjoy this program, seats will be available on a First-Come, First-Serve Basis, and Space Is Limited! On the first Thursday of each month, take a break from your day, bring your lunch and unleash your creativity. As you eat, enjoy a unique cultural experience that turns us all into poets. Each month, create, listen or watch different poems designed to spark the artist in you. Each workshop encourages you to step out of the mundane and explore your potential and escape from the daily stresses of life while remembering how beauty can be found in even the simplest of words. Guests are invited to bring their lunch, and a friend and come create a memorable piece of art. Free Wi-Fi available and light refreshments will be available.

Old Town Untapped Poster Old Town Untapped is a monthly craft beer and arts festival hosted by the Pompano Beach CRA and features free samples of local beers crafted by breweries in Pompano Beach's emerging craft beer scene. In addition the streets of Old Town are lined with food trucks, artists, crafters and interactive art. Inside Bailey Contemporary Arts, guests can grab some locally roasted coffee at Blooming Bean Coffee Roasters and walk through the galleries rotating art exhibits each month.

From the Inside highlights the men who participate in the Free on the Inside Program at Everglades Correctional Institution. Created by Sharonda Eccentrich Richardson, this program is designed to introduce, educate and cultivate the positive impact of poetry in the prison system. These programs are specifically designed to awaken moral responsibility, positive and effective communication skills, self-awareness and positive outlets to incarcerated men and women. "This exhibition will display original poems and visual art based on the poetry From the Inside writing program allowing natural energy, true emotion and support flow from the inside out!”

South Florida Chamber Ensemble Series 2:00pm | Bailey Contemporary Arts, 41 NE 1st Street

Disability Rights is a partnership with Arts4All Florida, an organization dedicated to providing arts education and arts integration programs to people with disabilities, taking place on World Poetry Day, March 21, 2020. We are asking Broward County School students with disabilities in grades k-12 to submit poems to us and with the help of Arts4All Florida we will select up to ten poems to be read by their authors and set to music by the South Florida Chamber Ensemble. The rest of the concert will include music by composers with disabilities including Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, Rodrigo’s Concierto d’Aranjuez, Gustav Holst’s The Planets, and Robert Schumann’s Konzerstucke for Four Horns, featuring the Junior Ensemble Horn Quartet. The onstage program notes will include information about each composer’s disability and how they were able to overcome it in order to be a successful composer.
