Movies on the Lawn 8:00pm | The Great Lawn, Corner of Atlantic and Pompano Beach Blvd

The City of Pompano Beach Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department invites bring your lawn chairs, blankets and picnics and come enjoy a featured presentation under the stars at the great lawn on the first Friday of every month at the Great Lawn. This is a free, family – friendly event. The movie will begin at 8pm. This month’s featured flick is Hocus Pocus. For more information, please call 954-786-4111.

Join us for an evening of great music and entertainment as Vista Motor Company presents Music under the Stars every second Friday of the month. Music kicks off at 7:00pm at the Great Lawn located at the intersection of Atlantic and Pompano Beach Boulevard. Our featured band for this month is That 70’s Band (Classic Rock).

Parents-enjoy a night out and leave the entertaining to us! Children ages 5-12 will have a blast playing games, making new friends, creating unique arts and crafts projects, and eating pizza while under the care of our dedicated recreation professionals. 6th Annual Brazilian Festival 10:00am | Community Park, 820 NE 18th Ave

The Brazilian Festival of Pompano Beach has already proven to be the best and largest representation of the Brazilian Art, Culture and Cuisine in South Florida for 5 consecutive years. The perception was built, and the intention of the City of Pompano Beach to integrate Brazil with the local US culture is already accomplished. The largest Brazilian Event of South Florida, is non profit, and a community sponsored festival with the potential to become one of the largests in the US. The Fifth Edition of the Festival will follow the same successful formula and format of prior Events bu will be adding to the mix revolutionary and trendsetting Ideas. With that in mind, the Brazilian Festival of Pompano Beach has the duty to improve and excel every year, by outdoing, and surpassing previous Festival’s.

Theme : In 2017, the Fifth Edition of the Brazilian Festival of Pompano Beach aims to build awareness about Environmental protection and how recycling can have a positive effect to avoid Global Warming. Set designs and event scenography will be developed and built mainly with recycled materials. Portable Bars and Vip Area will become innovative showrooms with pioneering ideas of how to use recycled items to design sets and spaces. These new ideas and trends while surprising and trailblazing, portray and depict the inspiration that we need to find solutions that could protect our environment, and proactively act to prevent global warming.
