Brazilian Folks Festival 12:00pm - 8:00pm | Community Park, 850 NE 18 Ave

Join us at the Brazilian Folks Festival to celebrate Brazil’s Cultural Heritage. The festival will be showcasing Brazilian ethnic food, folk dance, capoeira, quadrilha Junina, samba school parade, and performances of renowned Brazilian musicians. The Brazilian Folks is a community folk festival hosted by Minority Help and the City of Pompano Beach. The festival is part of the Brazilian Arts and Cultural Engagement (B.R.A.C.E.) project that aims to raise community identity and engagement through the promotion of local talents and programs that foster community development, capability building, engagement, and celebration of Brazil’s heritage. The City of Pompano Beach Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department is proud to announce a brand new Farmer’s Market coming to the Skolnick Community Center weekly starting May 8. This international food Farmer’s Market will include local artisans and growers. Multi-cultural cuisines will be represented including: fruits, vegetables, BBQ, Indian, Greek, Venezuelan, soups, organics, street foods, local honeys & a whole lot more!

The Bailey Contemporary Arts invites you, every Wednesday, to bring your lunch, or grab a little nosh from our in-house café, and sit down for an hour in the galleries amongst art and artists. Each week will vary with something different- special guest artist speakers, simple hands-on activities, or just a calm break to enjoy your sandwich with some music and art. Free wifi available.
