What is Neighborhood Stabilization Program NSP?

Communities across the country have been severely impacted by mortgage foreclosures and declining property values. In response, Congress passed the Housing and Economic Recovery Act (HERA) and funded the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) to help revitalize and stabilize impacted communities. The City of Pompano Beach is pleased to put Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) funds to work by acquiring, rehabilitating and selling foreclosed properties. Not only does this program provide an opportunity for families to purchase a home who might not otherwise be able to afford a home, but it also will help to stabilize the neighborhoods surrounding these properties. If you are interested in one of the homes listed, go to the bottom of that page and fill out the registration form. Be sure to include your telephone number so that a representative can get in touch to explain the NSP home purchase process to you. Completing this registration form is the only way that you can start the process of purchasing an NSP home.

Standard Features of Pompano Beach NSP Homes

Homes available for sale under the City of Pompano Beach's Homeownership Program have been rehabilitated and equipped with a host of modern amenities and energy-efficient features that provide both convenience and cost-efficient living.

Most homes are updated to meet Energy Star guidelines, and include energy-efficient appliances, windows and lighting, as well as carpeting and insulation manufactured from recycled materials.**

Water conservation measures have also been included in the modernization of each home, and all residences are newly equipped with low-flow faucets, showerheads, toilets and tankless water heating that will save water. These energy-saving features not only help ease the impact of the environment, but also help to reduce monthly utility costs.

**Not all homes have will have whole-house appliance replacement (varies by property). Please consult the Office of Housing and Urban Improvement for property specific details.**
