Holiday Family Fun Day

Pompano Citi Centre and Santa Claus invite families with small children to our Holiday Family Fun Days every Saturday from December 6th through December 20th. Children can meet Santa, ride the Carousel, create a holiday-themed arts and crafts project, and participate in fun and games. There may even be prizes for participation!

Holiday Family Fun Days are free to the public, and all activities are free. If you wish to take a free photo with Santa, be sure to bring your camera!

If you enjoy boating, fishing, diving or anything nautical them the City of Pompano Beach Nautical Flea Market is for you! Hundreds of vendors with huge bargains for boating and diving, nautical clothing, marine surplus items, anchors, mooring products, nautical arts and crafts, food and much more will fill Community Park. The City of Pompano Beach and the City of Lighthouse Point are teaming up to host the popular Nautical Flea The Nautical Flea Market will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, January 24th and 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 25th.

This year we are celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Nautical Flea Market and it will be even bigger and better than years past! Our newest additions consist of scuba diving and stand up paddle board lessons at the Aquatics Center and Sea of JazzFest concerts both Friday, January 23rd and Saturday, January 24th. Tickets and more information are available for the concert at www.pompanobeacharts.org. If you purchase concert ticket, you will receive free admission into the Nautical Flea Market with the concert ticket stub.

Bring the kids and enjoy the Kidz Zone, including multiple inflatable slides and participate in the fishing clinics put on by Chaos Rods.

Turner School of Construction Management Program

The 2015 Turner School of Construction Management Program will be hosted by the City of Pompano Beach and its Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA). It’s from January 26th, through April 15th, on Mondays and Wednesdays, 6:00pm – 8:30pm, at the Mitchell/Moore Community Center, 901 NW 10th Street, Pompano Beach with the Kick-off and Graduation at the E. Pat Larkins Community Center, 520 MLK Blvd., Pompano Beach.

It is an educational program designed to assist disadvantaged, minority and women owned businesses in the construction industry providing management training and certification to potential subcontractors. Each graduate receives credits that can be used towards a General Contractor License. Program covers blue print reading and specification, purchasing and bidding procedures, pre-construction and estimating, OSHA, project engineering, record set-up, building code compliance, job planning and set-up, insurance and bonding, workers comp, etc.

Children In The Arts Piano Competition
