East Village Uncorked is a free monthly art and wine celebration featuring specialty merchants, restaurants, and displays on planned improvements in the East CRA. Join us for entertainment and libations with music on the main stage by the 3rd Degree Band. Hosted by the Pompano Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), EVU is held in Harbor Village located between the 2600-2800 blocks of East Atlantic Boulevard. Free parking is available to the public.

Craft for a Cause: Beaded Bra Straps for Women in Distress

Women In Distress believes that each survivor of domestic violence has the right to a safe, secure home and the capability to self-determine their violence free future. That is why we center our efforts in providing an environment that will help our participants recover from the traumatic effects of victimization and develop an understanding and awareness of the dynamics of domestic violence by empowering them to gain independence and self-sufficiency.

Benjamin’s Boutique strives to bring the community together by Crafting for a Cause. Through crafting and community bonding we will be crafting Beaded Bra Straps for Women in Distress. The craft will be donated along with an optional monetary donation. Join us, learn a new skill and help support a wonderful foundation!

Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse Tour

A fun day at the lighthouse. Enjoy the cool ocean breezes blowing with crispness in the air. Come to 125 North Riverside Drive, Pompano Beach, FL on the North side of the Sands Harbor Resort and Marina. Parking is on the east side of the street in the City (pay) parking lot. Registration/check-in is 8:30 AM until the last boat returns. (at about 4:00 PM)

The boat leaves the Sands pier to the lighthouse beginning at 9:00 AM and every hour on the hour until 3:00 PM. The boat leaves the Lighthouse to the Sands pier beginning at 9:30 AM and every hour on the half hour until 3:30 PM. We suggest an arrival at the respective pier 20 minutes before the departure time. Friendly members will register/check you in, provide you with a wrist band, and assist you with boarding for the boat ride to/from the lighthouse. A current HLPS membership or a $25 PP transportation fee is required.

The Deerfield Beach Orchid Society will hold its third annual Orchid Show & Sale with thousands of specimens will be on sale from 10 Florida growers ensuring that the fascinating and exotic plants will be appropriate for your own backyard. Our vendors will all mount spectacular displays to be judged by American Orchid Society (AOS) judges on Saturday, November 15. Several non-orchid vendors will provide orchid supplies including everything you need to grow beautiful orchids, plant benches/stands, art, reclaimed old growth cypress wood, and jewelry. Daily lectures will be provided on orchid care. Cash prizes for hobbyist orchid growers judged by AOS judges. Cost: $5.00. Children: FREE. Parking: FREE.
