As you eat, enjoy a unique cultural experience that turns us all into poets. Each month, create, listen or watch different poems designed to spark the artist in you. Each workshop encourages you to step out of the mundane and explore your potential and escape from the daily stresses of life while remembering how beauty can be found in even the simplest of words. Guests are invited to bring their lunch, and a friend and come create a memorable piece of art. Free Wi-Fi available and light refreshments will be available.

From the Inside Exhibition PosterFrom the Inside presented by Be Eccentrich and Free on the Inside Program highlights the men who participate in the Free on the Inside Program at Everglades Correctional Institution. Free on the inside created by Eccentrich Richardson is designed to introduce, educate, and cultivate the positive impact of poetry in the prison system. These programs are specifically designed to awaken moral responsibility, positive and effective communication skills, self- awareness and positive outlets to incarcerated men and women in various correctional institutions in Florida. Partnering with state and federal prisons to bring spoken word and cultural arts into prisons in order to provide inmates with an experience that not only enriches their time of incarnation, but to help aid in transitions back into society, in an attempt to create true rehabilitation. This body of work showcases what that phrase means to the artist and the varying imagery it can inspire. It gives the viewer a glimpse into the emotions and psych of the artists, and when seeing them in a group. The exhibition will display both visual art created based on the poetry from the participants of the Free on the Inside writing program allowing natural energy, true emotion and support flow from the inside out!

Old Town Untapped PosterOld Town Untapped is a monthly craft beer and arts festival hosted by the Pompano Beach CRA and features free samples of local beers crafted by breweries in Pompano Beach's emerging craft beer scene. In addition the streets of Old Town are lined with food trucks, artists, crafters and interactive art. Inside Bailey Contemporary Arts, guests can grab some locally roasted coffee at Blooming Bean Coffee Roasters and walk through the galleries rotating art exhibits each month.

Oh Mama! Pompano Beach Story Slam PosterWorld & Eye is proud to present the Pompano Beach Story Slam, a storytelling contest in which people tell true stories about their own lives. This month we explore motherhood during the “Oh Mama!” Story Slam. The evening features eight storytellers—including newbies and seasoned public speakers—and you just never know what you're going to hear. The stories can be funny, intense, moving, quirky, eye-opening, and even controversial, as the storytellers invite you to see the world through their eyes. Doors open at 6pm for live music by Inez Barlatier. The show starts at 7pm.

Miami City Ballet’s Ballet for Families is a free, immersive experience all about the beauty and fun of ballet. Participants of all ages will be entertained and inspired by performances and music from some of Miami City Ballet’s amazing ballets. Miami City Ballet School’s Pre-Professional dancers perform excerpts from world-renowned ballets; George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Serenade and Don Quixote.


Through narrated performance and interactive demonstrations, Ballet for Families engages all the senses as families learn, watch and dance together. Listen to music from some the world’s greatest composers, see the intricate choreography, learn how and when ballet began, what it takes to become a professional dancer and how a ballet is created.


Ballet for Families is a wonderful introduction for new-comers, and provides fascinating insights for people that are familiar with ballet. Every participant will learn something new, have fun and leave with a deeper understanding of the exciting world of dance.

Families are provided a colorful and educational take-home guide about the history of ballet and the ballets performed.


Ballet for Families is one of Miami City Ballet’s community engagement programs, designed to impact people’s lives through the transformative power of dance.

South Florida Chamber Ensemble Series PosterDisability Rights is a partnership with Arts4All Florida, an organization dedicated to providing arts education and arts integration programs to people with disabilities, taking place on World Poetry Day, March 21, 2020. We are asking Broward County School students with disabilities in grades k-12 to submit poems to us and with the help of Arts4All Florida we will select up to ten poems to be read by their authors and set to music by the South Florida Chamber Ensemble. The rest of the concert will include music by composers with disabilities including Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, Rodrigo’s Concierto d’Aranjuez, Gustav Holst’s The Planets, and Robert Schumann’s Konzerstucke for Four Horns, featuring the Junior Ensemble Horn Quartet. The onstage program notes will include information about each composer’s disability and how they were able to overcome it in order to be a successful composer.
