At approximately 11:00 a.m. this morning, Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded to a large brush fire at 3161 N. Dixie Highway. People driving along Dixie Highway reported the fire.
As firefighters were extinguishing the blaze, they discovered the remains of a badly charred body. It is unknown if the deceased is a male or female. Numerous encampments were discovered in the wooded area.
