How Does Our Garden Grow? With Your Help!

The beautiful Patricia Davis Community Garden is a lush urban oasis filled with delicious herbs, greens, fruits, vegetables and amazing flowers. But the Garden doesn’t just grow food, it grows community! The abundance of the garden supports local families, food pantries and kitchens, while providing hands-on opportunities for our residents to learn more about gardening!

To keep this endeavor blossoming, we need you! The Garden, located in the heart of Pompano Beach at 1089 NW 6th Ave, is seeking volunteers to help prep the nursery and fields with seeding, planting, weeding, harvesting and more! There are just a few more volunteer opportunities left for the season, and this is an experience that should not be missed. No green thumb is required, but please come prepared with gloves, hat, sunscreen and water! Register at www.handsonbroward.org/opportunity/a0C8Z00000h8SpBUAU/volunteer-days-at-the-patricia-davis-community-garden-the-fruitful-field.

If you haven’t experienced the Garden yet, there are still a few more community events this season! Don’t miss the always-popular Pompano Beach Green Market at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center, where you can find fresh produce grown right in the Garden. Plus, there’s one more Fun in the Garden Workshop and a Tour & Taste event happening in April—both free to attend!
