Water Assistance Program Grant
In an ongoing effort to support our residents during the Pandemic, the City has implemented a water assistance grant program designed to provide emergency utility assistance in the form of a ONE TIME GRANT for up to $2,000 (maximum award), on a first ready first served basis. The Program would be made available to single family households within City boundaries, including City residents served by Broward County Water and Wastewater Services. Amounts delinquent prior to March 1, 2020 are not eligible for assistance.
To qualify for the Program, residents must live within the City of Pompano Beach, have a household income at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI) (see document below), and have lost income as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. This Program will be subject to funding availability and verification of application documents and information.
The City will not issue payments directly to applicants, but rather payments will be sent directly to the utility provider. The City has only deferred suspension of utility service for delinquent accounts during the Pandemic, and as such, residents are urged to take advantage of this Program.
