Strategic Partners
Economic Development Council
In a joint effort to improve the economic well-being and maintain an outstanding quality of life in South Florida, the City of Pompano Beach and the Greater Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce formed a public/private partnership called the Pompano Beach Economic Development Council (PBEDC). The PBEDC consists of local business leaders and city officials who meet on the fourth Monday of every month to discuss local business issues and how to strengthen and diversify the business climate.
The principal purpose of the PBEDC is the planning, encouragement, support and promotion of economic development and growth of the local economy. This is accomplished by promoting and encouraging the attraction of new business and industries to the city, supporting the retention and expansion of existing business and industries within the city to increase the tax base, increase local employment and improve the general welfare, prosperity and quality of life for the benefit of the residents of the City of Pompano Beach.
The Economic Development Council(EDC) meets the 4th Monday of every month at 5:00pm in the Commission Chambers Conference Room. Meeting dates and times subject to change for holidays. Please see our meetings page for upcoming Economic Development Council meetings.
