City Celebrates One Year Anniversary of Successful Community Court

The City of Pompano Beach is celebrating the first-year anniversary of the 17th Judicial Circuit Community Court. Join us as we celebrate the success stories of participants who achieved greatness against all odds. A video will be presented featuring some of the homeless residents that were successfully housed through the Community Court program. They will also be in attendance at the event. The event will take place from12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Pompano Beach Commission Chambers located at 100 W. Atlantic Boulevard. Brunch will be served to participants.
Community Court is a collaborative effort of numerous agencies in an innovative approach to handling certain low-level misdemeanor crimes and violations of municipal ordinances. It is designed to engage the homeless community, help offenders and assist individuals in need of services and resources.
Community Court is held twice a month on Thursdays starting at 1:30 p.m. at the Annie L. Weaver Health Center located at 2011 NW 3rd Avenue.
