City Conducts Active Intruder Training Drill at City Hall

Thursday, June 22nd

7:00 am - 10:30 am

The City of Pompano Beach will be conducting an active intruder training drill at City Hall for all City Hall employees on Thursday, June 22nd from 7:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Broward Sheriff’s Office will be assisting Guardian Defense, who was retained by the City to conduct the training.

City Hall will be closed during this time to conduct the training.

This is a three-hour interactive training drill focusing on workplace violence prevention and the importance of preparing for hostile intruders or other workplace threats. Employees will gain confidence throughout the training as they learn how to formulate a plan that will be incorporated into their daily routine.

Notices will be posted on all City Hall floors in advance informing the public of the closure.
