Human Nature: Connecting People to Parks Event
Pompano Community Park | 1660 NE 10th Street
Saturday, July 30th
9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Did you know July is national Parks and Recreation Month? This year’s theme is "human nature: connecting people back to parks". In order to celebrate Parks and Recreation Month, the City of Pompano Beach Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a free event on Saturday, July 30th, that celebrates nature, introduces and connects people to parks and educates attendees on ways they can contribute to conservation. Parks are a vital part of our lives. They provide free outdoor spaces for activities that help reduce stress and improve mental and physical health.
The Connecting People to Parks event will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Pompano Community Park located at 1660 NE 10th Street. The event will feature a DJ, outdoor fitness and yoga demonstrations, introduction to mangrove planting, paint your own kindness display, multiple conservation vendors, and a small tree giveaway. Join us and get connected with nature!
