Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Lifted
The precautionary boil water advisory for SW and NW areas west of Dixie Highway in Pompano Beach has been lifted.
The City has completed testing and confirmed the water meets or exceeds all applicable standards.
Water used for drinking, washing fruits and vegetables, making ice cubes and tooth brushing is safe for consumption.
The precautionary boil water notification was in effect after routine maintenance conducted yesterday at the City’s water treatment plant caused pressure in the system to go down temporarily.
In an abundance of caution, the City of Pompano Beach issued a precautionary boil water notification.
The areas that were affected are the Florida Turnpike to the west; Dixie Highway to the east; Copans Road to the north; McNab Road to the south.
