My Safe Florida Condo Program

The Florida legislation established the My Safe Florida Condominium Pilot Program (CS/CS/CS/HB 1029) to enhance the resilience of condominiums . Governor Ron DeSantis recently signed the bill into law to expand the inspections and grants to condominium associations. The Department of Financial Services has been appropriated $30 million, by the Florida Legislature, to create the My Safe Florida Condominium Pilot program.

This program is not for individual condo unit owners. Only Condo Associations are eligible to participate in this new pilot program. Only those associations who complete the Program’s application and approval process prior to starting construction, will be eligible for grant funding. The Department of Financial Services is still developing the program and will post updates throughout the development stages.
